Attached image ThunderbirdModal.png

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:86.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/86.0

Steps to reproduce:

Simple 'Y' or 'N' is not accepted in Thunderbird modal window that appears no new message is left in the list for Next Unread message navigation. It used be accepted until in the middle of the 2020.

Actual results:

The modal accepts only Alt+Y or Alt+N and ignores single 'Y' or 'N'. I cannot use a programmable keypad with 'N' assignment in order to execute 'Next Unread' message and when it hits end of the message list, then continue to do so in the next folder by pressing the same 'N' key.

Expected results:

In the modal window in general, it should accept first letter of the answer with or without the Alt modifiers. In fact, the Thunderbird has been working as such as well as other well behaved windows applications.

alice, do you see this?

alice, do you see this?

Please describe in detail steps to display the dialog.

Flags: needinfo?(alice0775)
  1. Select any mail folder in a mail box with Imap mail account.
  2. Type 'N' to execute 'Next Unread' until all messages get read status.
  3. The modal with the attached image appears (asking to move to next mail folder with unread msgs.)
  4. Type 'N' for 'No' in the modal button, but it doesn't respond anyway.

At the step 4, 'Alt-N' is accepted, but I think 'N' should be also accepted.
