- Create a list inside one address book.
- Move the list with mouse to the other address book.

All entries in the moved list are delete.
What makes you think that they are "deleted" and not maybe hidden (other address book not enabled, filtered view applied, etc)?

I've three address books in my address book. "Personal Address Book", "Collected Addresses" and "Work". I moved three lists from "Personal Address Book" to "Work". After moving them, I clicked on each list and all of the three lists were empty. So for me, it looks like all entries in the lists are removed from the lists. The address entries still exist in the address book. I set no filtered view the address books.

Thanks australstrompetrel, happens exactly as described. (90.0a1 (2021-05-31) (64-bit))
It's a known fact that mailing list design is flawed.
This can be quite nasty if you have several mailing lists with many recipients and you drag one out - meaning the entire membership information is lost and cannot easily be restored.
I'll dupe an old variant of this to here.
