1.) Enable Proton Address Bar
2.) Visit a page
3.) Click on the Star to Bookmark the page

Actual: The Star animation is missing.
Expected: There should be the nice star animation.

I have the animation in the same Nightly build on macOS. Any chance you have Reduce Motion on in system Accessibility preferences? Or ui.prefersReducedMotion set to 1 in about:config?

Hmmm... interesting, the animation is back now in Nightly build?! Not sure how that happened? I'm closing this report for now. If I see this again and have exact repro steps I will reopen it.

(Reduce Motion is off and ui.prefersReducedMotion hasn't an entry in about:config.)

The issue with the missing animation started again today with Nightly 90.0a1 (2021-04-21) (64-Bit).

Removal of the bookmark star animation is by design (implemented in bug 1704865).
