Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch firefox with ENV MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1
  2. Check about:support

Actual results:

  1. It says that it's running through XWayland

Expected results:

  1. It should be running on wayland natively.

Error output:
[GFX1-]: glxtest: Could not connect to wayland socket

My hardware/software:
I'm running AMD CPU with integrated Vega GPU, Fedora 34 beta with Gnome 40

I'm experiencing the same issue; Intel CPU with integrated GPU, Ubuntu 20.04.
about:support says:

* WebglAllowWindowsNativeGl:false restricts context creation on this system. ()
* Exhausted GL driver options. (FEATURE_FAILURE_WEBGL_EXHAUSTED_DRIVERS)```
as well as
