User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:87.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/87.0
Steps to reproduce:
Right click Inbox under Unified Folders, Properties, Choose - Deselect Sent Mail folders that are checked to search. Both in normal and troubleshooting mode with all add-ons disabled I get the same results.
Actual results:
Whether I click Cancel or OK, TB locks up with a grayed Edit Saved Search Properties for Inbox window. TB is completely unresponsive.
Expected results:
I should have been able to deselect the Sent Mail folders so they would not be searched and would not show up in my Unified Folders Inbox.

Hi Tony, thanks for your bug report. Please do not attach images in Zip files, which will force everybody into hassles of extracting before they can look into your issue. Just attach images directly, one by one, or combine as I did and attach combined image.

Hi Tony, I'm unable to reproduce your issue on a Windows computer.
Any other details you can share?
wfm on Win10, 90.0a1 (2021-04-22) (64-bit), for POP3 and (single) IMAP account.
Added Sent folder via Properties > Choose --> Unified Inbox now also showing sent (as seen with Location column enabled).
Removed Sent folder via Properties > Choose --> Unified Inbox no longer showing sent.
No disabled or unresponsive UI.
Only [ ] Search Online
was initially disabled for mixed POP3 and Imap inboxes, then enabled after deselecting all POP3, actived Search Online
with single IMAP inbox selected, added and removed Sent, then added POP inboxes again, after that, Search online
now enabled in spite of mixed inboxes.
I am running TB on an Apple MacBook Pro with M1 processor.
I tried to recreate the error on a Windows 10 on Arm Build 21364.co_release.210416-1504 VM I am running on the same computer and it worked without issue. I had two IMAP accounts configured.
The problem is apparently specific to the Mac OS version of TB.

Did you ever select those sent folders for your unified inbox? Because by default, they are not selected.

When I select View > Folders > Unified all I see under Inbox are my accounts inboxes and a Local Folder.
I haven't customized any folders, so that should be Thunderbird's default and I can't understand how the reporter gets all those other folders in a unified view.
My unified view is in this order.
- Inbox
Account names - Drafts
Account names - Templates
Account names - Sent
Account names
And so on.
I did not select the sent folders to be included in the search for the unified folder.

Sorry, for the mistaken identity of my Thunderbird 78's Unified folders appearance when the bug report is about version 90.0a1 Daily which I forgot has multiple folder view selections.
I primarily use All and when I add Unified to the mix I still see what I report in comment 5.
I guess this issue is specific to the Mac version.

Hey, everyone. New here. Getting the same effective result on macOS 11.3.1 (Intel) running TB 90.0b1 (64-bit): cannot finalise making edits in "Edit Saved Search Proprties for Inbox" since it becomes unresponsive/grayed out. In my case I was choosing the "Sent" folders for the unified inbox to get them shown in the threaded view. After hitting OK when selecting folders, there appears to be a bug related to Big Sur now treats popover windows.
I've added the screenshots of the steps here:

This realy seems to be a wider issue with the new macOS Big Sur windows. The same thing happens when editing a hyperlink information.
