Steps to reproduce:

  • File -> Open -> Saved Message, select a .eml file
  • In the message window: File -> Save as -> Template

Actual results:

Nothing

Expected results:

A new template should appear in the Templates folder

I don't think that's intended at all.
The window is not a compose window after all. Accordingly, it is not assigned to any account.

However, the menu item should then be grayed out.

Saying so, I found a workaround:
Menu -> Message -> Edit As New Message
Now a new compose window will open from where you can save as a template.

However, the menu item should then be grayed out.

Leaves just this to do.

Ah, I forgot to post the workaround. Thanks for doing that. Otherwise, all makes sense.
