Details

In the windows for the mail app, if you have a message selected, and press the "delete" key, it does not send it to the trash. It seems that this should be something that is done, esp when programs like Outlook do it.

Hi Brian, would you mind providing the following additional info? Type of Account - IMAP or POP3 If IMAP, Delete Model - 'Move it to the Trash folder', 'Mark it as deleted', 'Remove it immediately', found in Edit | Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings | Server Settings (for the account) and look near 'When I delete a message'. What build you are using. (Help | About Mozilla) Are you receiving any errors in the JavaScript console? See Tools | Web Development | JavaScript console. You may need to enable Edit | Preferences | Debug | Show JavaScript errors and warnings in Mozilla chrome in the js console.
Must've been experiencing difficulty with the stand-alone message window. See bug 171711 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 171711 ***
