User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/90.0.4430.212 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Go to email attachments, press button save all or click on right mouse button to save them as single files

Actual results:

all attachments (photos) are stored in selected folder with right name, but the files only have 1KB, no matter if its a local folder or folder on a network drive
it happends mostly on emails with more than 4,5 photos
no error message in console

Expected results:

all attachments should be stored with right name and correct filesize and should open

Testcase.eml - BMO won't take more than 10MB attachment, so I had to zip this in 7-Zip format (*.7z) to get below that (regular .zip wouldn't recognize the repeated image for compressing, 7-Zip did and compressed this message from 17 MB down to 1.9 MB - impressive!). To unpack, get 7-Zip: https://www.7-zip.org/

Attachment #9223554 - Attachment description: Test multiple 2MB images attached.7z → Test.eml.7z (with multiple 2MB images attached; compressed with 7-Zip)

A.wass, this works for me on 78.10.2 (32-bit) on Win10, using the testcase.eml (attachment 9223554 [details] from comment 1).

  • View message with 6 identical images attached, 2MB each.
  • Save all, or select all and then Save as...

=> All images correctly saved.

I do not think that we have a bug here.
Reporter, pls answer these questions (click iconic Reply button on top of my comment on Bugzilla, then reply inline: quoted question - answer):

  • Does this problem occur after ≡ > Help > Restart with Addons Disabled…?
  • Do you have antivirus installed which may interfere with emails?
  • Does this bug happen every time for images or it sometimes works?
  • Does this bug happen for other types of files?
