I'd recommend using Windows' magnifyier or exaggerating ClearType's settings to better see it.
Create a new window. The tab title and search bar are using ClearType.
Type in the search bar. The tab and search bar are now in Grayscale.
Unfocus the search bar. The search bar is now using ClearType, but the tab is still in Grayscale.
Hover the tab. Now the tab is using ClearType.
The bookmarks bar and the right-click menu are also using ClearType, but all the panels are in Grayscale.
In the settings and in about: pages, the "Nightly" chiclet is always in Grayscale.
Strangely I can reproduce it after "Refreshing Nightly" but not in Troubleshoot Mode.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Address Bar' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

I'm unable to reproduce this. Please let us know if this is still an issue.
It's now using only grayscale, even on web content, on a fresh install of 97 on Windows 10. Is it intended?
