Steps to reproduce
-Launch Firefox brand new profile.
-Enable search bar in toolbar in about:preferences#search
-go to yandex.com
-add yandex as search engine in search bar
-refresh the site.
expected result
Yandex should be added with one icon design
Actual result
After refresh the icon design of yandex is changed.
Notes: not sure what the correct icon should be.

There's two issues here.
Firstly, Yandex seem to have updated their favicon that you see on tabs, but not updated the icon that is used in the OpenSearch specification. We can't do anything about that, though I'll see if we can let them know.
Secondly, the different icon is due to bug 1457069 which we've not resolved and never really come up with a solution for. I'll mark as a duplicate of that one, since that's what is causing the confusion here.
