Steps to reproduce:

I have bought a domain name @ gandi.net "σι.net" and created the included email address: contact@σι.net.

I tried to include this account into my Thunderbird app, but it seems not to support greek letter in email address, is it ?

Actual results:

When I followed the account creation process, just after email paste in email input, it became orange bordered and a warning instruction appeared saying "Invalid email address"

Expected results:

As greek letter containing email address is syntactically correct It would be appreciable if it was working in Thunderbird.
