Mozilla version: 2002091908 Observed results: Middle click on item in the sidebar tabs Search,Bookmarks or History loads URL from clipbard. If I middle click on an item in the sidebar tab "What's Related", it opens a new tab. Expected results: 1. Middle click in the Search,Bookmarks or History should **never** load URL from clipbard. This bug is connected to Bug 72361, which brings the Search, Bookmarks and History behaviour in line with the "What's Related" behaviour.
Connected to the point of being a dup, basically... ;)

It is most certainly not a duplicate. This bug is about what middle click should *not* do. Bug 72361 is about what it *should* do. To re iterate: In sidebar, a middle click should *never* load a URL from clipboard.
It may be a duplicate, or blocker on bug 59132 though.
One thought for middle click = paste fans.... Would they want to paste bookmarks directly into the bookmars sidebar?? In this case middle click = create new bookmark, with url given in clipbard.
This has been fixed for the bookmarks sidebar (bug 209383), history sidebar will be fixed as well as soon as bug 254542 is checked in.
Product: Browser → Seamonkey
is there any part of this doesn't work yet?

This is still (or again?) broken with a current beta build. I'm running seamonkey built from http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-beta/rev/af3011f1cccb and http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/comm-beta/rev/b701a8e4cbbd. OS is kubuntu 64 bit.
