Steps to reproduce:

I set Bookmark Toolbar display to Never. Goes away from current tab. However seems to display again at random. "Never" is still set, but FF doesn't pay attention. On Windows 10 PC.

Actual results:

Expected results:

After setting Bookmark Toolbar display to Never, should NEVER re-appear again later.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Bookmarks & History' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Hi,

I have tested your issue on latest FF release 89, Beta 90.0b10 and latest Nightly build 91.0a1 (2021-06-25) and could not reproduce it using Windows 10.
If the issue is still reproducible on your end, can you please retest this using latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile (https://goo.gl/AWo6h8) to eliminate the potential causes.

Thank you for considering my report. This problem occurred only intermittently with 89.0.1. Perhaps I should not have upgraded to 89.0.2, but under that have not seen it again yet. I will pay better attention anyway now, if it re-occurs. If I can find a sequence which does reproduce it, of course I will add that as a further comment to this report.

Certainly it takes heroic effort to track down anything intermittent, and of course I do not expect that. This more in the vein of an FYI. Cheers
