Expected results:
After changing some settings and addons I copied my profile directory to another instance on another computer. So I wondered If it would be possible to sync these settings over the Firefox cloud account. :) That would be really smart to have the same, AccountSettings, Junkfilter learnings, Addons etc. directly synct, when it comes to changes or a new installation. Don't know if something like this is already in a pipeline, but wanted to leave it here as feature request. :)
A good first step in this direction can be to identify the files to sync to maintain the settings, message filters, contacts, addons.. the config in general. I tried to sync the .thunderbird from home on Ubuntu via git. but the size of the folder is about 30 gigs, which is not possible to sync over github free. Even a breakdown of the files that need for each task would be a huge help!
