RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 288896

Details

With Thunderbird set to automatically compact folders, I periodically get an error message "The folder XXXXXXXX cannot be compacted because another operation is already in progress." When it happens it usually happens 3 or 4 times in a row.

For good UX I should never see this message unless I right-clicked on the folder and manually told it to compact. An automated compact should just skip the folder and put it in a queue to come back to when it's no longer locked.

Essentially bug 288896
