The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Menus' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

The pref is still there and will be for a year, why should it be left in such a broken state? This isn't a subjective style issue, the checkboxes are functionally broken.

We're not fixing bugs with proton.enabled=false at this point.
I saw that the first time. I asked:
The pref is still there and will be for a year, why should it be left in such a broken state?
"we are not fixing ..." is not an answer to that question.

"we are not fixing ..." is not an answer to that question.
Running with browser.proton.enabled set to false is not a supported configuration. It is to be expected that things could be in a broken state when running software in unsupported configurations. This is one of those situations.
