The web is moving towards HTTPS and we are working on features that auto upgrade the scheme from HTTP to HTTPS (see e.g. Bug 1704453 and Bug 1613063). It would be great if XPCShellContentUtils would support HTTPS as well eventually.

Given that the existing libraries are in netwerk/test/httpserver, we should probably move this over to Networking?
