calling javascript: from the url bar should bring up the javascript console in mfcembed. It shows parsing error in console.xul. Mfcembed installer and mfcembed in the embed-win32.zip have this problem, however mfcembed in mozilla-win32.zip brings up the javascript console. Seems like a packaging issue.
