Details

Depending on method of adding, mailing list pill looks different.

  • If added into To field via double-click: My list <My list>
  • If dragged into To field: My list <"My list">
    Same in TB 78.

We should test if this causes failures or not, but it's irritating at least, and error-prone for handling in code.

Expected

  • regardless of method of adding, mailing list pill should always look the same

Doesn't seem one can drag lists to the compose fields in current versions.

– changing component to component of closed duplicate
– copy/pasting proposed solutions from comment #0 of bug 1797054:

Expected:

  • no quotes added when dragging mailing list into composition's recipient area.
  • continue to add quotes only for contacts with regular email addresses as needed (due to spaces etc.).
  • Or perhaps Aleca wants to seize the opportunity and render a mailing list item in a recipient field in a nicer visual way, perhaps with a mailing list icon, in the following mockup represented as (pp):
    (pp) My list
