Steps to reproduce:

Installed Thunderbird 91.0.3 as an upgrade to an existing Thunderbird 78.13.0 installation. When opening the preferences tab thunderbird hangs. A review of task manager shows increasing memory usage and CPU usage. If left, rises to 100% consumption of computer resources and computer becomes unresponsive. Only seems to be a problem in preference tab...

So, I restarted in troubleshooting mode - all good. In normal mode - issue recreated.

So, I uninstalled all addins, dictionaries and language packs and then reinstalled 1 at a time. Issue only occurs when the English GB language pack is installed (note, this is the only language pack I have installed). All other Addins OK (Identity Chooser, DKIM verifier, British English Dictionary).

Actual results:

Eventual 100% consumption of memory resources and CPU resources. Thunderbird hangs.

Expected results:

Display and allow me to edit preferences. Provide access to config editor to switch off unread count in task bar.
