Steps to reproduce:

When reading a message; When I press 'Delete.' the Thunderbird
window loses the computer's focus.

Expected results:

I have to click on the Thunderbird window to get the focus back.

Thunderbird 92 was a beta.

The current release is 91.2.0, check Help > Troubleshooting Information for the version of Thunderbird you are using, and report back.

Also try Help > Troubleshoot Mode to see if an extension is causing an issue.

Where are you pressing Delete? In the message header, or the key on the keyboard.

I can't reproduce using version 91.2.0 here.

I will check it out. I press the Delete key just above the message box.

At first, Safe Mode did not have the issue. But now it does.

I use the mouse wheel to move the message down. When the message first comes up,
nothing happens. Thus I think the window has lost focus. But during an experiment,
I found that if I wait a few moments, the wheel does work.

I press the Delete, and the program did not respond to the mouse wheel. I thought
the program was no longer focused. But after a few moments, it responses.

I don't think there should be a delay.

Note: There is a delay many times. Sometimes no delay.

Is this with an IMAP or POP3 account?

I can not reproduce and think you should look for your issue, or post it at Thunderbird Support.
