We have disabled it because of bug 1712327 / bug 1712751, we should re-enable it once https://github.com/mozilla/sccache/issues/1021 is fixed.

We're on sccache 0.3.1 now - are we good to do this?

Yes I think we can, https://github.com/mozilla/sccache/issues/1021 was fixed.
