Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open an email that contains an attachment.
  2. Open the attachment via the email (just to verify that the attachment can be opened correctely)
  3. Detach the attachment
  4. Then try again to open the detached attachment via the email - No reaction.
  5. Close Thunderbird and open it again - the issue has remained
  6. Restart the computer - the issue has remained
  7. Try the same on another computer with this new version of Thunderbird - same issue.
