I can not confirm this with 20021019 on linux. It appears to be working
properly. Try an updated build?

WFM on 10/20/2002 under W2k. Try a newer build.
It sounds like you're not expecting your current page(s) to be replaced with the
items from the folder you opened as tabs.
See if the unchecking the option: Tools->preferences->Advanced->Tabbed
Browsing->"Replace the current group of tabs when opening a bookmark folder in
tabs" helps the behavior.
Currently the pref has no effect for some reason. It just keeps on replacing
tabs however i set it, so i can't test to see if this bug is still valid. I'll
wait till tomorrow and'll try a new build.
On second thought, I just tried reproducing this following the steps I provided
and found that i screwed up typing them out :)
willseatery@yahoo.com, could you provide a way to reproduce the symptoms of this
bug?

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a phoenix window with only ONE tab.
2. Open the bookmarks folder (ctrl + b)
3. Right click on any bookmark folder with more than one bookmark in it
4. Click Open in tabs
your original tab will be replaced by the first bookmark in the folder. all
other bookmarks should open in new tabs. you can return to the previous page by
pressing back on the first frame. i am running phoenix with the "replace the
current set of tabs when opening a bookmark folder in tabs" option unchecked
the bug is NOT reproducible when more than one tab is open and the "replace the
current set of tabs when opening a bookmark folder in tabs" option is unchecked.
if that option IS checked, everything seems to run as it should

Confirmed. Following steps in comment #6 I was able to reproduce with build
20021022 linux, even though "Replace the current set of tabs..." option was NOT
checked.
