User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:94.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/94.0
Steps to reproduce:
I sent an HTML-formatted signed S/MIME message to recipients using MS Outlook.
Actual results:
Outlook shows my signature as invalid, without providing any further details.
Expected results:
Since the S/MIME signature is certainly OK, and reported as such by TB, Outlook should have shown the same: a valid signature.
This problem appears to have been introduced with TB 91.x (difficult to say which specific minor version).
The problem does not occur if TB is set so to send plain text messages: it only occurs with HTML messages.
On the other hand, S/MIME messages received from Outlook do not show any problem in TB, regardless of their being plain text and/or HTML.
This is an ugly problem that requires disabling S/MIME until is fixed.
I am attaching a sample signed S/MIME message that is reported invalid by Oulook.

This is a very ugly problem: I had to downgrade Thunderbird to 78.x, which is free from this bug, or my S/MIME messages would be shown as invalid by all of my Oulook-using recipients (quite a number). PLEASE: fix this bug!
This might be a duplicate of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1731529

Yes, it is.
I had not found that bug myself. Thank you for pointing it out to me.

I ran into the same problem.
This issue has been recently fixed in the latest beta (Tb 95.0b5), as claimed here: https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/95.0beta/releasenotes/ (I did some test and I can confirm).

Reporter, do you still see this issue when using version 102?
