./mach ide shouldn't really run any of the build steps, should it?

This is encountered when building GeckoView/Firefox for Android
and having a compile error in a .java
file.

Hmm, I agree that the IDE should be able to launch despite compile errors.
In the meantime, this should be workaround-able by hopping over to central
(or shelving changes) prior to running ./mach ide vscode
.
