Hello! I have managed to reproduce the issue with firefox 96.0a1(2021-11-17), 95.0b7, 94.0.1 on Ubuntu 20.
Setting a component and marking this issue as new in order for our developers to take a look into this. If it's not the right component please feel free to change it to an appropriate one.
Thank you!

Thanks for filing this. I think this is the same issue as bug 1541465 - there's some URL checking which just doesnt anticipate "[:1]" as a valid hostname.
