Steps to reproduce:
Thunderbird has auto-updated to 91.3.1.
I am using Windows 10 in dark mode, but Thunderbird is using the Light theme.
Some UI elements suddenly seem to be following the system theme rather than the Thunderbird theme. Before the update, these elements followed the Thunderbird theme setting.
Actual results:
Some parts of the UI follow system color scheme instead of active theme (light):
- Message view pane when no message is selected (i.e. it is an empty rectangle)
- Message view scroll bar
- 'Options' button in yellow remote content blocking warning bar
- Background of new empty canvas when a new tab is opened, before content gets rendered in it (just an initial dark flash, once content is rendered it follows the Thunderbird theme)
Switching the OS between light and dark causes these elements to change color even though light mode is selected.
Note that the message view scroll bar does remain dark if Thunderbird uses the dark theme but the OS switches to light mode. The other mentioned items though still show in the system theme rather than the Thunderbird theme
Expected results:
If light (or dark) theme is selected, all UI elements should use light theme colors regardless of OS settings, and not switch around along with OS settings.
Additionally, new e-mail notifications now also use the system theme rather than the thunderbird theme.

Thunderbird has auto-updated to 91.3.2, now the scroll bar, options button, and notifications are drawn correctly using the Thunderbird selected theme.

Hi there,
I'm using the same combination (Win 10 dark, TB light), and can tell that in version 91.3.2, there are still the following issues present:
- As already mentioned above: Message view pane when no message is selected (i.e. it is an empty rectangle)
- Furthermore: Description pane of appointments' details (both dialogs, existing and new) is black background with black text, i.e. the text is only visible if manually selected
Kind regards
Florian

Does this still reproduce in version 102?
