Details

We now enable EGL on X11 for a big group of our users but don't yet test it on the CI because there have been several perma-failures which proved hard to reproduce outside of CI.

There are three steps to archive that:

  • fix the remaining CI failure and decrease the required Mesa version for EGL to 20 (shipped in Ubuntu 18.04 these days)
  • use a more recent Ubuntu version on the CI (bug 1725245) and hope that also fixes the issues
  • wait for Ubuntu 18.04 to get Mesa >= 21 via backports and hope that also fixes the issues
