Steps to reproduce:

Running Thunderbird 95.0beta5 (MacOS 12.1 beta) , I get daily notifications that compacting folders need to be done. No particular steps taken.

Actual results:

I get daily notifications that compacting folders need to be done. The size to be saved varies from below 100 to almost 300 MB. I definitely do not have that kind of changes to my folders.
In addition, the compacting process is finished in a very short time, 1-2 seconds only, which makes me think it's a fake.
