It would be nice if "tabbed browsing" could be selected as the default instead
of "ctrl+click" on the web link or "Ctrl+enter" on the location bar (Opera has
this option and I love it!).
Thanks

Are you asking for a pref so that every time you click a link, it opens a new
tab? That would result in a lot of tabs. See also bug 164390 comment 6.

If so, this is a dup of bug 169320.
In Opera, when you CTRL+N or click on a link that brings up a new page i.e.
target= "_blank", it is brought up as a tab in the same browser window.
I can CTRL+CLICK in Mozilla, but it would be nice if the defaults could be made
to make a new tab instead of a window when CTRL+N is used or the link calls for
a new window.
This is a nice feature in Opera that could possibly be incorporated in Mozilla.
I understand that if every link clicked brought up a new tab, it would be a BIG
problem.

1. Ctrl+N should open a tab instead of a window: what's wrong with using Ctrl+T
to open a new tab? anyway, this is bug 105620.
2. target="_blank" should open tabs instead of windows (based on a pref): bug
105547.
3. Open a new tab when you hit enter in the address bar: I don't like this idea,
but it's bug 119960.
