- Have this experiment set on stage.
- Have Firefox 94.0.2 installed with “nimbus.debug” set to “true” from “about:config”.
[Steps to reproduce]:
- Open Firefox 94.0.2.
- Change the environment to Stage using Remote Settings Devtools.
- Perform a Poll using Remote Settings Devtools.
- Use the following link to enroll in the experiment: “about:studies?optin_slug=firefox-desktop-multifeature-test&optin_branch=control”
- Close the browser.
- Open the same profile using Firefox 95.
- Observe whether the update dialog modal is displayed.
[Expected result]:
- The dialog is not displayed using the Stage control branch.
[Actual result]:
- The dialog is displayed using the Stage control branch.
[Notes]:
- Using the same steps in the Production environment, I was not able to reproduce the issue using this experiment’s treatment branch: https://experimenter.services.mozilla.com/nimbus/mr2-upgrade-spotlight-holdback/details (using about:studies?optin_slug=mr2-upgrade-spotlight-holdback&optin_branch=treatment)
- Included is a recording of the issue.
