1749094 - All my history disappeared (corrupted places.sqlite, but it looks fine?) after updating Nightly

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:97.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/97.0

Steps to reproduce:

1. Have a session I’ve been using for over six months.
2. Update from the 20211230-095735 nightly to the 20220107-213135 nightly (9½ days’ worth) in an orderly fashion (no crashes involved).

Actual results:

All my history is gone. Nothing else, by the looks of it; bookmarks, search, config, extensions, everything else seems to be intact.

I promptly typed bugzilla.mozilla.org and Alt+Enter in the address bar to go and report it, but that triggered a crash: https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/9aeb6861-a2e7-4f12-a57e-ab66c0220108. (My most recent crash before that was a month ago.)

Downgrading back to last week’s build did not restored it. It is now creating new history entries.

I observe the following files in my profile:

 5242880 places.sqlite
 2459432 places.sqlite-wal
10485760 places.sqlite.corrupt

sqlite3 places.sqlite.corrupt .dump looks sane, though I’m no expert.

This is consistently reproducible: if I move places.sqlite.corrupt to places.sqlite on the 20211230 build, my history all comes back, but if I move it so on the 20220107 build, I lose my history again in the same way. Since I use this as my daily driver, I’m going to stay on last week’s build for now.
