User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/96.0.4664.110 Safari/537.36 Edg/96.0.1054.62
Steps to reproduce:
Compose a message including text (such as https://mozilla.org) to be linkified.
Optionally, click control-s or File -> Save.
Actual results:
There is no visible indication that the text will be linkified.
The behavior nearly matches the behavior described here:
https://kb.mozillazine.org/Links_generated_automatically
But, saving does not cause the linkified text to be displayed (until the message is closed and reopened).
Expected results:
I suggest that the linkifiable text should be shown immediately as a link, or highlighted in some way that shows it will be linkified. Otherwise, the user has no obvious way of knowing if they are creating a clickable link.
At minimum, saving the message should cause the links to be displayed. Thanks!
