I am running the 10/15/02 build of Phoenix on Mandrake 9.0. I noticed that if I
tried to start Mozilla 1.1, while also running Phoenix, by running the shell
script in /usr/bin/ it actually starts Pheonix. I find this odd and annoying.

I assume that the shell script you are referring to has been supplied by
Mandrake. It probably uses -remote openURL(...) to search for a currently
running Mozilla process, and is happy when it finds Phoenix. Could you please
attach the script to this bug so we can see what it tries to do?

This is the shell script that Mandrake put in their Mozilla rpm.
