Details
XHTML 2.0 deprecates the codebase and code attributes. The java applets will need to function through the use of xml:base and data attriubtes, for example.

XHTML2 isn't supposed to be implemented yet, and when it is, won't affect the XHTML1 <object> element (it's a new namespace).
