User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016 In any form, for example at http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en, in Mac OS X 10.2, if a drop-down menu (ex. Selecting language) is clicked (normal click), and then the selection is made by right-clicking (Control-click) instead, Mozilla's contextual menu will appear and refuse to disappear until a selection on it is made. No amount of left or right clicking will remove the menu. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to a page with a form that contains a drop-down menu 2. Click on the drop-down menu, so that your choices appear 3. Instead of clicking on the choice, right-click (Control-click) on it Actual Results: Mozilla's contextual menu (containing Back, Reload, View Page Source, etc) appears, and will not go away even if I left or right click outside of it, until I select something from that page, forcing me to either go forward or back, view page source, etc. Expected Results: No matter if the menu item is left or right clicked, the selection should have been made and no contextual menu should appear, let alone one that won't go away. Using Orbit 3+1 theme on Mozilla 1.2b, on iBook/500 running Mac OS X 10.2.1. Bug still occurs with the default theme, though not all the time. Appriximately 85% of the time.
WorksForMe using FizzillaCFM/2002101612 on 10.1.5. The contextual menu doesn't appear.

Whoops, sorry, didn't mean to resolve this invalid. I was playing around with those form elements to try to reproduce this and forgot to change them back. Reopening. Tom, can you reproduce this problem using another Mozilla user profile?

Yes this bug appears to be universal to Mozilla. It does not apply to Chimera 0.5.0, but it has appeared in all copies of Mozilla I have used in OS X, including 1.0, 1.1, and now 1.2b. It happens completely independent of theme, and it happens on 3 different machines that I am using. I don't know how to change Mozilla profiles--I tried for a while, but since it is on multiple machines and versions I will assume it is not a configuration or profile error. To make it work in Mozilla, go to the Google languages page listed in prev post, and try it on the drop-down menu(s) under the "Translate (BETA)" section, not the "Search Specific Languages" part.
Tom, to create another Mozilla user profile, launch the Mozilla Profile Manager file rather than the application itself.
Hmm I thought I'd tried that. Oh well. I created a new profile on both 1.1 and 1.2b (on 2 different machines) and the problem persists, without any sort of change.

Tom, can you still reproduce this problem using a current nightly build?
