Steps to reproduce:
- open firefox nightly with
env MOZ_X11_EGL=1. - open any video, e.g. https://test-videos.co.uk/vids/bigbuckbunny/mp4/h264/360/Big_Buck_Bunny_360_10s_30MB.mp4
Actual results:
Video not playing.
A lot of crash dumps are produced. E.g. https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/bp-d6151b45-219d-48cd-8c80-9cda90220127
The crash dump links to the following bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1752282
However, in the terminal I get many log messages that says it failed to create a shader cache, permission denied. Even though that folder is read/write-accessible by my user account.
I added a snippet of the terminal logs.
Expected results:
Video should play

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

The crash is bug 1752282, this should be fixed by that bug.
I saw https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1752097, but when I use MOZ_DISABLE_RDD_SANDBOX=1 MOZ_X11_EGL=1, none of the above log messages are shown but Firefox just hangs up, I can't use it at all anymore.
Can confirm, it did get fixed. The messages don't appear anymore.
