Details

When viewing mails with attachments and a long TO: list with some long email-addresses in it, the layout changes now in 1.2b. In 1.1, as the email-addresses could not be wrapped and the attachment window, seemed to have a minimum size, the scrollbars for mail-preview and mail-list disappeared. Now with 1.2b the layout is adepted in that the mail-folder pane is resized (made smaller, so that the scrollbars do not disappear anymore) and also the mail-preview and thread-pane are redrawn. As mail-news on HP-UX is slow as hell allready, due to the layout changes changing from a mail without attachment to a mail with attachment (and vice versa) delays working for about 1-3 seconds

Running now mozilla 1.2.1 on HP-UX 10.20 layout problems are still there. When selecting a mail with attachment, the width of the tree-view is changed repeatedly (up to 5 times) until I final width is chosen. It would be much better to narrow the attachment box, then change the window layout of the tree-view. This is a definite blocker for us to continue transition to mozilla mail, as a 3-6 second delay for viewing a mail preview (and blocking the rest of mail-news) is not acceptable for us.

Several issues here. The scrollbar problem is fixed. Other issues are dealt with in bug 112162, bug 80220 and possibly bug 74697. The "flicker" or undecided pane size when a combination of long To: field and attachments are present is bug 188138 - still open. Resolving as dup of that one. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 188138 ***
