+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug 1727493 +++

This is like what's happening in bug 1727493 but only concerns address book cards. I'll be removing any code which refers to the PreferMailFormat property, but not the data itself.

This is a good idea. Very few people will manually manage the mail format preferences of other (!) people.

For historic background: The original idea was that we'd manually detect how correspondents send mail, and automatically set this preference accordingly. E.g. if somebody sends HTML mail, we'd remember that he also wants to receive HTML. If he'd send plaintext, we'd imply and remember that he also wants to receive plaintext. However, this feature was never fully implemented. The feature doesn't make sense in this half-implemented state, because very few users will want to manually manage this. It's just confusing clutter in the UI.

@Geoff: This is ready to land, right?

Probably but let him handle it (nit not fixed, and a dunno about try run)

Sure. Anyway: Thanks, Geoff, for this fix!
