This is a meta tracking bug, designed to track 3rd Party Software for Gecko 2.0. Someone will nominate (or file) a 3rd party software integration bug. The EDT and relevant teams will evaluate the bug and, if we decide to target it for Gecko 2.0, we'll add it as a dependency on this meta bug. Please don't add bugs directly to this bug without going through the EDT first. The bugscape version of this bug is http://bugscape.netscape.com/show_bug.cgi?id=20743.

i hope this is no spam:(please ignore if gecko 2.0 means only Layout core) I would like to nominate bug 58744. There is no way to integrate a 3rd-party download manager in mozilla. You can only use a plugin but that is only a very bad workaround. A getright developer offered already his help on their side months ago. FYI:there are a few regisrty seetings for that in NS4.7x

This meta bug hasn't really been touched since 2002. Additionally, it has only one open dependency and is assigned to @formerly-netscape addresses. Therefore I'm closing it as WONTFIX, not this won't affect the resolution of the bugs this depends on. If anyone really needs it please reopen and comment as to why.
