Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:98.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/98.0
Steps to reproduce:
On macOS 11.6.4; Thunderbird 91.7.0.
I right-click any message in my Inbox to move it to another folder. If any subsequent subfolder has many subfolders within it; the spinning wheel appears.
Actual results:
The result is that it takes 5-6 seconds before I can even scroll through the subfolder list before moving the message.
The spinning wheel recurs after each message is moved.
Expected results:
Spinning wheel should not occur. Even if it does, it should not recur after each message is moved, rather only if additional subfolders are added/renamed/deleted.

Please tell us, does this still happen in version 115?

Same problem in 115.3.1.
Note that this does not happen with all folders, only folders with a large number of subfolders. The one taking 5-6 seconds has 600 subfolders.

I am currently using TB 102.15.1 on macOS 14.1, and this issue is no longer occurring. Perhaps something in the OS changed?
