Details
I use my laptop (Win2K) at several networks and I have to change my SMTP
depending on where I am. I have in my account settings to always use the
default server. So, I go to Edit - > Mail Settings - > Outgoing Server ->
Advanced settings where I change the outgoing server to the appropriate SMTP and
set as default. The problem I get is that after the small dialog box disappears
with an OK (accepting my new smtp server) I cannot close the Mail settings
dialog box with OK. If I hit cancel or the x in the upper right corner the
change is only quasi-accepted. I have to reopen the mail settings and the
advanced settings for outgoing server and click ok without changing anything.
This saves the default outgoing server for good.
