With my hotmail account, when I go to compose a message, there no longer is a way to send Attachments! There is supposed to be a button labeled "Attachments" (is just below the textfield for the "Subject"), but this is totally missing in Mozilla. (It appears there for IE, and used to appear there for Mozilla too.) I have no idea what is happening. I looked at the hotmail page source and it is the total **** that you would expect from The Beast: simple and effective html is avoided in favor of really baroque stuff, tons of javascript (that is probably where the problem lies; I used to see errors in Mozilla's javascript console after visiting hotmail, but was unable to see any this time...), etc. To verify this bug for yourself, simply open a hotmail account in both browsers simultaneously and look at them side by side. Another old bug with hotmail and mozilla (which is never seen in IE) is that if you have a junk mail folder set up, and you click on a message's checkbox there, and then select the option to not classify that message as junk mail, you will be brought to some new pages where you go thru a procedure, the final step of which is to click on a button labeled "Return to Junk Mail Folder" or something like that. When you click on this button in Moz (but not IE), it fails to bring you back to the folder. This is very annoying, as it makes hotmail basicly unusable with moz.

Matti writes: >This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 174651 Yes, the first half of this bug report (hotmail screwing up attachments) is indeed a dup of 174651. But the second half of this bug report (hotmail's return to junk folder button not working) is NOT solved by the technique described in 174651, therefore I am reopening this bug.

brent: if you read Bug Writing Guidelnies first: http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html you would know that rule of the thumb here is: one bug - one issue. Therefore, I mark this bug as INVALID since it contains _two_ issues. Please file a separate bug for the second issue (since first one is a duplicate) but don't forget to SEARCH the bug database first! Also, novice reporters are strongly discouraged of using Advanced Bug Entry Form. Please use Bugzilla Helper to report this and future bugs: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?format=guided

The single issue is hotmail is not working properly. There were 2 symptoms of this that I reported. At the time I wrote the bug report, I had no idea whether or not both effects were caused by the same thing. I now know that they are not, so I will refile the second effect as a new bug as per your suggestion. >but don't forget to SEARCH the bug database first! I always do. I found nothing at the time. By the way, can anyone tell me why bugzilla's search feature (on any form, Advanced Bug Entry or Bugzilla Helper it doesn't matter) appears to be so worthless? I did a search just now with the Bugzilla Helper form that you recommend on the keywords "hotmail junk mail" and I still get "Zarro Boogs found.". At a minimum, it should have at least found this (id=176106) report, no?
