Steps to reproduce:

Hello,
I often have the problem that when I open an account on my Synology NAS in MailPlus, there is no synchronization. In the bottom status bar it says that Thunderbird (Betterbird) connects and connects and connects! Nothing happens. Until I noticed that there is an incorrect certificate.
It should be in the status bar urgently made aware of this problem serden such as "security certificate expired/erroneous). It took me days to find the error!!!
The NAS renews its own certificate every now and then, then Thunderbird doesn't work anymore. I had the same thing in our company with 5 eMail accounts.
