User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:99.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/99.0
Steps to reproduce:
Open firefox with the UI in dark mode (I'm on Arch Linux + KDE, other desktops work too). Open a few tabs. Observe that the active tab is extremely difficult to pick out of a lineup.
Actual results:
Starting in Firefox 99.0, the active tab has almost zero contrast to surrounding inactive tabs when in dark mode. I don't see any theme/UI changes listed in the release notes, and the contrast is so low that I can only assume it's an accident.
Expected results:
The contrast should be enough to tell active and inactive tabs apart.
I've just checked, the problem does NOT happen in macOS dark mode - the active tab there retains the much lighter shade of grey from version 98.
For the original report, Arch Linux and Firefox 99. I also checked macOS 12.3.1 and Firefox 99 when I made the comment.
I've already specified that I used Arch Linux and attached a screenshot. There are no log files to include since it's a visual issue. Arch Linux does not have version numbers, it's a rolling release.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Yes, I think that assessment is correct - I've disabled the user's account and hidden most of the comments. Apologies for the waste of your time.
It sounds like this is a regression as compared with Firefox 98 for you, could you confirm this?
Emilio, do you have any idea what would have caused this?

Thanks - no worries, it happens.

Yes, that's right.

Yes this was caused by bug 1741293. There's a patch waiting for review for a month in bug 1757506...

Will, fyi, this should be fixed in Nightly and Beta, so FF 100 should have the fix.
