Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:99.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/99.0

Steps to reproduce:

A:

  • Set in properties for all IMAP-Folders: "Check this folder for new messages, when messages are received for this account."
  • Set serverside filters to move special messages to special folders.
  • From another account send message (which fulfils filter condition) to this account.
    B:
  • Select folder by mouse click.

Actual results:

A:

  • Nothing (but sometimes randomly after hours)
    B:
  • Message becomes synced.

Expected results:

Messages should be synced immediately.

The special problem here is:
I have several virtual folders (saved search) on such IMAP-Folders for more fine-grained filtering.
When there are new messages in those virtual folders, I want to rely on the unseen-messages-indicator, to know, in which are new messages and in which not.
But when I first have to select the real parent folder to sync all messages, then the unseen-messages-indicators of all virtual folders get removed after I leave the parent folder.

In the accounts settings I have set:

  • Check for new messages on start.
  • Check for new messages every 3 minutes.
  • On new messages on server notify immediately.

Maybe bug 1763729 could help a lot.

How is version 102?
