"Next unread" does not work in news when new messages arrived after all previous messages have been read

Details
I have read all the messages in newsgroup using 'N' key and pressed 'N' one more
time to ensure that there no unread messages. After some time some new messages
arrived to that group ('Check for new messages' feature is on). In the left side
of the pane it is shown that there are some unread messages, but 'N' key does
nothing, 'Go to next unread message' from menu does nothing either. If I then
switch to another newsgroup, or press 'Get Messages' button in the toolbar, 'N'
key works again. If new messages arrived to the group other than the one I was
reading last message in, 'N' key works.
I think 'N' key should work in either case, whether newsgroup was empty before
new messages arrived, or not.
