User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/103.0.5060.53 Safari/537.36 Edg/103.0.1264.37

Steps to reproduce:

I just downloaded and upgraded to 102.0 (64-bit). I've been using 91.9.0 without a problem. After restarting Windows 11, I get a crash report after starting Thunderbird. After getting out of the notice, Thunderbird appears to work okay. If I continue in Troubleshoot mode I don't get a crash notification.

This report also contains technical information about the state of the application when it crashed.

Expected results:

I attempted to downgrade back to Version 91.9.0, but after doing so, Thunderbird informs me that the profile has been updated and is no longer backward compatible, so that I need to create a NEW profile. I wish this type of information would be provided PRIOR to doing the installation to remind me to do a backup Before updating, so that I could recover if possible.

The only think that might be unusual about my use of Thunderbird is that I have multiple profiles, so I have to select one at runtime from the "Thunderbird - Choose User Profile" dialog box. After making that selection, that is when Thunderbird starts and then issues the crash report. So I typically use "thunderbird -p" to start thunderbird, but even if I don't, it still asks me which profile to use. I've been doing this for years as I archive my emails on occasion to reduce the footprint. For example, I have profiles for: pre2014, pre2018, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021. The profile for 2022 is the one I'm selection now.
