Steps to reproduce:
- Delete your profile folder content
- Configure a new profile with TB wizard
- Set a main password in Settings > Privacy
- Configure a CardDav Agenda
- Add a meeting with alarm as soon as possible into the agenda
- Close Thunderbird and wait for 1 min after the time you set the alarm
- Restart Thunderbird
Actual results:
The master password pop-up window is shown, but the user’s keyboard inputs are not taken. Then the agenda notifications window appears, and no input has fill the master password pop-up window. So the user can close the notification window / give the focus to the master password pop-up window and enter it« again » .
I tested to configure a Google Agenda : I don't get at all the agenda's notification window while trying to enter the master password.
Expected results:
The master password pop-up window should take input as soon as it is shown. It should not wait for an other window to show-up.
Tested on macOS 10

Richard,
Can you confirm that bug please ?
Is Security
the right component ?
I'm using an old MacBook Air, so without a lot of CPU & GPU power, is this can help to reproduce it.

This is a known issue on the Mac. Workaround is to cmd+tab to a different app and repeat. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1712980#c2
The issue is gone for some users, as bug 1712980 suggests. But definitely still exists.
